St. John’s Primary and Nursery School is a multi-faith, multi-language school with a real community feel.  We are an inclusive school that challenges, inspires and motivates all pupils to become successful, confident and caring citizens of our diverse world.  We work together to create a happy environment where all members of the school community feel safe, can enjoy, achieve and make a positive contribution to the school and the wider community.  We are a forward-thinking staff, where children are at the heart of the school.

St. John's Primary and Nursery School is located in the historic district of Southampton surrounded by ancient city walls. Underneath the playground we have ancient vaults, and children can watch ships passing by on Southampton Water. We offer excellent enrichment opportunities by making good use of the cultural sites nearby such as the library, parks, art gallery, cinemas, theatres, the universities, local businesses and groups etc.

We belong to the Southampton Cooperative Learning Trust. We are still a Local Authority school working in partnership with Regents Park Community College, The Polygon School, Foundry Lane Primary School, Banister Primary School, St Mark's CofE School and Freemantle CofE Academy.
